Post "furry scurry" analysis
Jun. 26th, 2005 01:30 pmWe hooked up a harness and leash to Belladonna and took her for a walk up at the park today. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that she enjoyed the experience, she didn't seem terribly put out by it either.
It wasn't all just about cats and dogs, there were actually more rabbits than cats at the event. Some of them were even placed in humiliating baskets where they attracted the attention of munchkins.

This guinea pig has a very worried expression on his face while he eyes some nearby cats, though I suspect he has little to worry about since his eyes glow bright and burn with the power of allmightly Satan. Ahem. Anyway, he was really cute on his little leash and harness.

Moments after this picture was taken, Belladonna growled and took a vicious swat at the other cat. Fortunately we trimmed her claws a couple of days ago.

For the most part she was alert, but calm. We halfway expected her to do that whole alien face-hugger thing on at least one of us during the outing, but she actually took fairly well to the leash.

Well, for the most part. She had a couple of tantrums and did her best ninja moves to try and escape from the harness - successfully once.

You can find some more pictures in
atara's journal too.

Date: 2005-06-26 07:10 pm (UTC)The name of my LJ is actually a wry commentary on LJ in general. When I first created this journal, I had this mental image of an angsty teenager sitting at his/her computer and starting off a journal entry, "today started off badly and things went downhill from there."
