Happy One Year Until The World Ends Day!

A year today the date will be 6/6/6.

You'll have lions lying with lambs.  50' Twinkies.  All the signs of the end times, I tells ya!

Remind me to bring some Iron Maiden to work that day.

Its been recently proven that the number of the beast is actually 616, not 666. Something about the original translations...

So.. we're gypped 5 days because of the translators.

So the world either ends on January 6th, or June 1st - depending on how you read your calendar. I'm not going to let a few niggling number details get in the way of a good end-of-the-world conspiracy. Trust me, soon enough it will be raining fire and brimstone and lawyers and stuff.

Now that you mention it, I read somewhere that the number was actually 6666, not 666 - which would give us a few extra decades before 6/6/66

Then there's all the problems about what year it actually is at the moment...

(Jesus was born in the rule of king Herod, who died in 4BC)

Actually, the number of the beast may have originally been 616.

So Wikipedia denies that the world is about to end? Why does this only feed my paranoia?

You know, depending on how many digits you drop, the world may end as often as 3 times every 10 years. Junes must suck, you have an apocalypse every 10 days.

Meh. If Wikipedia can be believed then it ends at 6:16 every morning. Wait a minute, that's about the time I get up to go to work, so maybe there's something to that...

You mean, there actually IS a time 06:16am?
And people are actually up?

This may not be the time to mention that I usually drag myself out of bed at 07:30...

I don't count the few times I need to take the 06:50 plane to Oslo as, even if I am up at 06:00, I'm not technically awake and coherent before 06:30...
(In the queue at the gate, or just afterwards, when I run across the tarmac to get onto the 737/400 before I'm soaked by the rain)

I remember reading a theory about the internet being the devil's work. I'm not sure how (or in which language), but apparently 'w' is equal to 6.

If anyone can find an link to such an article, I would love to re-read it.

PS. no need to point out to irony of using the devil's work to spread an anti-devil message.
