plonq: (Happy Mood)

I'm feeling much better than I was about an hour ago - almost starting to feel inhuman again.  Maybe it was something I ate after all.

Our Roomba has been inoperative for the past few weeks after a minor brownout caused the charger to stop charging.  I called their toll-free customer service number today and, after pressing one button, was put through to a live agent.  Now that's the way to design a phone system.  The at the other end called up my file and said, "I see that we sent you a new Roomba recently."

"Yes," I said, "and it works wonderfully.  Now the problem is with the charger.  The light on the charger won't come on, and the light on the Roomba itself flickers when we plug it in for charging."  I was going to explain how it all started after a power brownout, but before I could get in another word she cut in.

"OK.  I'm sending you a new charger.  Your address is still..."

These people rock.  Their appliances seem to be a bit on the delicate side, but their customer service kicks ass.

I'm surprised that you've never heard of these!

THIS is a Roomba:

In case the picture isn't self-explanatory, it's a robot vacuum cleaner.

That's awesome.
Obviously it's good to have fully function products that never break, but unless you live in a perfect world, it's not going to happen.
The next best thing is great customer service. Sounds like you've found it!

Roomba?

I assume that's not a cat as they usually don't tolerate having a charger plugged in... :-)
