A group of us went for Mongolian food this weekend.  T'was very delicious, but I mixed up my first batch of food a bit on the warm side.  OK, to be honest, it was brutally hot.

The problem with spicy food is that it doesn't always burn just once... but it would be TMI to say any more.

*cut scene from upcoming Fantastic Four movie*

person a) Hey, is that guy on fire?
person b) Looks like it.
person a) And he's flying too. Fire is streaking out behind him.
person b) He must have had the special at Cafe Ole...

The answer, of course, is to follow the meal with vanilla ice cream.

That way, when nature takes its course, you can be sitting there yelling, "Come on, ice cream! Come on, ice cream!" ;D

I'll make sure that I leave enough room next time - if only because leaving room for ice cream is never a bad idea at the best of times.

Remember: One scoop, max one and a half, of the hot pepper oil is uusally enough.
And as has been said, a followup with the ginger ice cream always hits the spot.

I have a pretty good tolerance for hot foods, but I went a little over-the-top when I was spicing up the first bowl. It was still well-within my spice threshold, and not the first time I've suffered for my culinary choices. =)
