While I don't usually try to act as a shill for big companies, the new mascot in this ad is just too cute not to pass this one along.

Boing!

And a special bonus for [livejournal.com profile] xydexx, it looks like NYC has been overrun by inflatable roos. (Well, they look inflatable to me, but I'll leave it up to the experts on such things.)

[EDIT] The ad doesn't load when I try to view this through Firefox at work. It loads in IE, but none of the rest of the site works. I don't know why they bother to give us web access at work if they then go out of their way to render it useless.

They look fiberglass to me.

There's apparently a meme where cities give artists blank fiberglass animals (cows, horses, etc.) and then display the results around the city for several months. I vaguely recall hearing that this started in Zurich a decade or so ago.

Yep, we had the Raleigh Red Wolf Ramble back in 2001-02. Here's a site where someone tried to find and photograph all the wolves. There's was even a book published about it :)
more stuff
Fun!

DC suffered through Pandamania last summer. I never knew it was a bigger thing.

I've seen that meme in action (nodnod), but in this case it's not a meme, it's part of an advertising campaign.
