I got a call from the head office a few minutes ago.

Caller: Hi.  I'm calling on behalf of [name1] and [name2] who are looking for a report on [something complicated, fiddly and time-consuming]
Me: <suppressing a groan because he recognizes the names as being trouble> Can you please be more specific?
Caller: What do you mean?
Me: Are you looking for [all events ever] for [all units ever] at [some vaguely referenced locale]?
Caller: You mean like historical data?
Me: <inwardly> Ack!  Moron!  What do you think I mean?
Me: <cringing> I hope that I didn't say that out loud.
Caller: Actually they want it on a daily, going-forward basis.
Me: <blink>
Me: <blink>
Me: <purr> Wait a minute... I scheduled a report to do just that a couple of years ago.  Shall I add them to the distro list?

I love it when a plan comes together in advance.

I'm not saying that I haven't done that - that is, told them that it would take a week to produce a report, then produced it on the first day and simply didn't start it running until the end of the week.
