Instability
May. 7th, 2014 03:22 pmThis report software I am using at work is a little unstable. Notwithstanding the fact that I have to work around a number of its curious kinks quirks as it is, the environment itself slowly self-destructs over time.
I am kicking myself for not saving multiple copies of the report I am building so that I could revert back to one that is not potentially corrupt. I shut down the application, and I will fire it up fresh again tomorrow to see if some time out does it any good. Right now, it has melted down to the point where it gives me a division by zero error when I try to do something complicated like dragging a table.
After a cascade of errors when trying to drag my last table, I was very close to physically flipping a table. I think that might be my cue to call my work day done.
