plonqToday I want to concentrate only on positive stuff.
Our company lawyers are making that very difficult at the moment, but here goes. They are very... um... polite?
(I'll spare you the details since that would involve delving into negative stuff.)

And yet another positive note:
I was chatting with Mom online last night, and she's sounding much more up-beat than she was on Tuesday. I managed to catch her just 10 minutes after the flowers and card thatatara and I had sent her, so that might have buoyed her mood a bit. She's still in quite a bit of pain, but they expect her to make a "full" recovery. I was surprised when she said that they don't plan to set the bones, or insert pins or anything like that. The two pieces of bone are overlapping, but they are just going to let them heal that way. As a result her left shoulder will be 1/2" narrower than her right (you go, asymmetrical mom!) and she'll have a bump on her shoulder, but otherwise it shouldn't impede her mobility in any way.
I'm sceptical, but I'm not the expert in these matters so I'll take their word for it.
