I misplaced a story.

I've been working on a couple of short, silly mini-fictions during my rare moments of spare time at the office. I was going to finish one of them during our network outage today, but I can't seem to dredge up any memory of where I stashed it nor what I called it. I'm sure that I felt very clever when saving it though.

The problem is that in order to hide personal things at work, I will often save them under innocuous names like, "St Luc non-Revenue Throughput Analysis.doc" or "Joint Interchange Tonnage Variance Metrics.doc" -- you know, names that ensure nobody will want to open those documents.

I'm pretty sure that's what I did with this story, but none of the names in the usual folders stir any memories, and when I open the documents in sequential order, the contents of the documents rather depressingly match the names.

Bother! I think I can remember enough to reproduce it from scratch, so I guess that gives me a future project.

Can you blanket-search within a set of directories for a word within a file, and track it down that way?

Would sorting by file size help?

And I /just/ finished reading it! (after getting back from the coffee house) Thank you!
