Rainbow Wars
Dec. 12th, 2010 01:08 amThis film played at one of the better pavilions at the 1986 world fair. I have tried to track it down a few times over the years, but had largely given up and forgotten about it. I know dad had it on loan from the company on VHS for awhile, but that was long before he retired, and if they have any copies kicking around they'd be forgotten ones stashed in a box in a back office at HR or something.
The message in the movie is anything but subtle, but it's delivered with enough whimsy and camp to make it palatable, and there are a lot of wonderful little touches through the movie that make it a lot of fun to watch. There are also a couple of familiar faces in this movie in the form of (very young) Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles. I spotted Ryan easily enough, but I forgot to watch for Colin.
