atara ordered the chicken tostadas platter, and I opted for the chicken taco platter with a beef tostada on the side. The tacos were decent, but not great. I think they would have been much better if they had not plated them early because they were a bit soggy by the time I got them. On the other hand the beef tostada was delicious.
I washed it all down with a lime Jarritos - which was also quite good. They had a couple of hot sauces on the table for our use; a mild one, and a somewhat hotter one. The habanero sauce billed itself as XXXTra Hot Sauce, but a couple of those Xs were unwarranted in my opinion. It had a nice bit to it, but I've had much hotter sauces.
I shot this one by lying the camera on its side on the table and shooting blind. I thought that it composed itself well enough that I didn't bother with any cropping or straightening. I shot this with Aperture Priority, with the f/stop set to 2.0. The camera chose 1/60th of a second for the shutter. I had cranked up the ISO to 320 for this shot, but if I had known that the sun was going to come out from behind a cloud right before I took it, I'd have left it at 100. I sharpened it slightly, and adjusted the colour in software before posting it here.
