It's amazing the kind of things you just find lying around the house. This particular artefact relates to a bridge.

Shot with a single, harsh light source with the intention of converting it to black and white. This is pretty much the effect I was after. I purposely underexposed this one a bit, with the shutter set at 1/60th of a second, and the aperture cranked all the way open to f/1.8. I used a gradient overlay to convert it to black and white, cropped it a bit and sharpened it just a tad.
