atara had to present her graduate project to the faculty and a few industry folks today. I booked some time away from work so that I could sit in on it.

Naturally she was nervous for a number of reasons, but she pulled it off like a seasoned pro, even fielding questions with solid, well-reasoned answers for each. I'm so proud.



Manually shot at f/2.8 and 1/45th of a second. There was a bit of motion blur that I managed to compensate for with a bit of sharpening. Also the raw colour was terrible, and it took a couple of different tries to reach a decent white balance.

Yesterday's picture was so lame I was to embarrassed to post it.



I left it until the last second and then tried for some fancy effect that just didn't work out. It was a picture shot of shear desperation.
