Year In Pictures: 2010/04/06
Apr. 6th, 2010 10:51 pmIf I could pick a single word to describe Winnipeg City Hall, it would be ugly. If I was feeling generous, I would add the modifier butt in front of that.
We pass this butt-ugly building ever day on our commute home from work. I had the camera in my lap looking for a photo of opportunity at the time, and snapped a picture out the side of the car as we passed.

As I usually do when I am shooting from a moving car, I had the camera set on shutter priority, and chose 1/750th of a second for my shutter speed to avoid blurring. The camera decided on f/4.0 for its aperture. I rotated the picture 3 degrees clockwise, trimmed away the borders created by rotating it and then converted it to black and white. I did no sharpening, nor any other adjustments to the exposure this time around.
