Year In Pictures: 2010/02/12
Feb. 13th, 2010 12:35 amI set myself a goal at the start of this year: take a picture every day and post it on-line. I took this on partly as an art project, but mostly as a measure of myself to see if I had the self-discipline to carry through with it. It seems a simple thing, really. I don't have to try and make every picture my magnum opus, all I have to do is simply take one picture a day and post it. As long as I don't miss a day then as far as I am concerned, I have been successful.
Tonight I came within 47 seconds of blowing it; and depending how I measure my success, I may already have screwed up. When I took the picture the clock in my camera (which I synced with the computer earlier this week) read 23:59:13. When I pulled the picture off the card it picked up a time stamp of 00:02, and I didn't upload the cleaned version until 00:07.

I am going to mark this one down as a close call and carry on as if it's all still good. I won't stop taking and posting daily pictures if I miss a deadline, but I will make note of it as the day the project officially failed.
