Now you're cooking with gas.

I seem to be getting better at just grabbing my camera and snapping a picture, rather than pondering on it for long periods of time seeking inspiration in my surroundings. That doesn't mean that my pictures are getting any better, only that I'm not spending as much time thinking about them.

One of the neat things I have noticed as this project goes forward is that there has been a gradual shift in the nature of the pictures over time. The last week especially has seen a real shift toward the abstract.

I've been enjoying the photos you've been posting. This is one of my favorites; the play of colors, shape, and form here makes for a very interesting composition!

I admit that I have a bit of a soft spot for the abstract.

Gas burners to me always looked like cool iridescent flowers, and I love them.

I had to jump through some hoops to get my kitchen plumbed for gas when I bought this place, but I'm glad I went through the effort.
