Water, water everywhere.
Dec. 24th, 2009 10:01 amYesterday I put in a call to the city about the water that has been seeping up next to the front walk. The water supply to our house has not been affected yet, but I wanted to call in the city before the ground froze solid.
Apparently the city came by yesterday to check on it when we weren't looking, and there have been two new developments since I put in the call.
1) There is now a barricade in front of our house. The cheap bastards couldn't afford one of the kind with legs at either end, so they bent out some of the rings in our fence to hang the barricade on that.
2) The water leak has become much worse. Yesterday morning it was just a small pool in front of our house, today it is running down the side walk and forming a nice layer of ice in front of the neighbour's house.

I just hope it can hold itself together until after Christmas. I don't think they will be doing anything to it today because if they don't finish their work today, they wouldn't be back again until Tuesday. As long as we have running water through Christmas, I'll be happy.
