Here's a view from my office window. From when I had an office window. Back in the heady days of spring when we still nursed misguided hopes of a pleasant summer.

They are tossing around the term El Nino for our weather this winter. That would be good news for us, but I've become something of a weather cynic in the past couple of years. I'll believe it when I see it.

If not for those cars, I would have thought that was a photograph from the 1900s.

It's almost December and we're still bone-dry, so... I'd say the weather is holding out. It's between -5 and 5 from morning to night, it seems. I think it's been 0 in the morning for a few days, this week and last.
Last year, I believe it was November 1st that we got our big snow. This year, it was so early that it melted, and then we got nothing else. We'll see if it holds out until late December like it did several years ago.

It was quite a bit colder last year, but I know it was still dry up to the Santa Claus Parade. If I remember right, we got our first real snow shortly after that though.

Wait, are you sure it was last year? I remember that there was no snow during the Santa Clause parade in 2007, because I was running home after a meet in my new shoes (badly blistered).
It was a Saturday.

Last year, my memories of the exact time are blurry. I seem to remember it snowing on the first day of November, but it might have been somewhere in the first week.
I also have no idea when the Santa Clause parade is.
