In fairness to Tim's, the main reason I haven't been ingesting their products is because I'm broke. Even if I had money though, I'm a little put off by their advertising. I typically ignore ads, but ones that openly insult my intelligence will put me off a product.

Tim Hortons has some of the most annoying radio ads, and they typically follow a very simple formula:

Smart, mean, catty woman: [Arrives at home/work] Hi, I'm here.
Stupid man-child: Hi. I'm engaged in something stupid. Can I have some of the [Tim Hortons product] that you have?
Smart, mean, catty woman: [Disparaging, condescending retort that is lost on the stupid man-child] Yes/No.

Tim's is not the only company that follows this formula in their ads, and to be honest I'm not sure what target audience they are trying to reach. They are obviously trying to play the genders against each other, but they portray them both in a bad light. The women are portrayed as smart, catty and mean to the point of being border-line abusive. The men are portrayed as overgrown children who are so stupid that they would stand in place and shit their own pants if the woman wasn't there to direct them to the bathroom.

Is this supposed to make me want to use their product?
