Transformers 2

It would be a bit of an understatement to say that Transformers 2 is not receiving very positive reviews from the critics. In fact the film is being quite brutally savaged in the reviews, even by people who claimed to have liked the first one.

I can feel it quickly sliding off our summer "must see" list. atara's opinion on the matter might differ, but I don't like the idea of rewarding bad movie-making with my money, no matter how much I like giant transforming robots.

Download on bittorrent, watch it... If you don't like it do nothing, if you like it go to the movies, but go to an expensive showing like IMAX or 3D or something, to make up for having stolen it to begin with ;P

A review I saw that actually gave it an A- specifically said something along the lines of: the best part of Transformers is the transformation of cars to robots and back, but at least half of this two-and-a-half-hour movies happens in the dessert with the robots never transforming again...

And I just kept thinking "two-and-a-half hours???"

Ignore the reviews! I saw it last weekend and enjoyed it very much. Seems to be one of those movies the critics hate, and everyone else loves. I'm not a Transformers fan but I was surrounded by friends who were, and the verdict from all of was unanimous - Great film! My only real complaint was that it seemed a bit long. It didn't drag, but could have done with being shorter.
