1) Is your kitchen large, medium, or small?

It's medium, tending toward small. Two of us can work out there together, but we tend to get in each others' way. It is unfortunately small on outlets.

2) How many people do you typically feed at the main meal of the day?

0-2. [livejournal.com profile] atara does most of the cooking these days, though I am not exactly helpless in the kitchen.

3) How often do you cook recipes that require assembly (rather than just heating premade items)?

Most of our meals require assembly - we have moved almost entirely away from heat & eat foods.

4) What is your favourite heat-producing kitchen appliance?

The stove. When the previous owners moved out they took the appliances, so I bucked up to get a gas range installed in place of the old electric one.

5) What is your favourite non-heating kitchen appliance?

Before I broke it, I loved my Bodum vacuum pot (though I guess it technically heated up, but I consider it passive heat). Of the non-heating appliances we have left, I'd have to go with the stand mixer.

6) Do you like specialized gadgets and tools, or consider them a waste of space?

I like gadgets.

7) Do you cook from recipes, by intuition, or both ways?

I am about 50/50 on this one. There are a lot of recipes that I either know by heart, or that have enough leeway in them to let me play around a lot. For baking, I follow the recipe quite religiously because the quantities are usually fairly critical for success.

8) How many cookbooks do you have?

15-20 books of varying size and type. We also have a lot of loose recipes, most of which came from the internet.
