I've got my smile back
Oct. 31st, 2008 02:23 pmI walked up to the dentist's office at lunch and plopped the detached bridge down on their reception counter without comment. Less than 10 minutes later I was on my way back to work with the bridge glued back into place, albeit temporarily. I have to go back in mid-December so that they can scrape out the old adhesive and affix it (comparatively) more permanently.
Having bad teeth really bites.

I've got my teeth back, so it's all good for now.
My water pump arrived yesterday. Rather than buck up for the expensive coolant that was in it before, I picked up a jug of pre-mixed antifreeze. Not only does the antifreeze have the same look, texture and viscosity of the manufacturer's coolant, but the card is running a couple of degrees cooler. I'll keep an eye on it for awhile to make sure the antifreeze is not doing something bad (like dissolving the hoses or eroding the pump), but so far it looks like this is a triumph. I'm making a note here...
