This might have worked if I had remembered two minor things.

1, a tripod.
2, to take all of the pictures at the same exposure (instead of on auto).

On the plus side, they lined up reasonably well.

Skyline

We walked a lot in the past two days, and our feet are punishing us for it now.

That's rather good! They did line up surprisingly well.

Have you tried using "Autostitch" for a panorama?

Other than that line in the sky, the right two thirds almost seem like a seamless picture.

I've made the same mistake a couple of times of leaving auto turned on. I felt stupid after.
