Jesse Ventura
Feb. 28th, 2008 09:45 pmYou give me Dick Marcinko, myself, and eight of our other former seals and ten of us will paralyze the nation.
I've always had a soft spot for "character" politicians, and it helps that Jesse ostensibly has a similar political outlook to mine (fiscally conservative, socially liberal).
If you can get past his new look in this video, he has some very interesting thoughts on the state of the nation. Most of the points he touches on are things that are patently obvious, but people don't like to talk about them because it makes them uncomfortable. People are being stripped of individual rights in the name of making the nation safer, but the nation is no safer now than it has ever been, and people simply have fewer rights.

But as with anyone with opinions on Iraq, I have to wonder where they were and what they were saying just before the eve of the invasion. I mean, could he be, like many people are on Iraq, a Hawk-Chicken? (just to re-coin the phrase he used, but in reverse)
