I just landed a free copy¹ of MS Office 2007 Professional. Not just free, but legal and legitimate. I suppose I'll install it over the weekend and see how it runs on my system. Life is better than bad.

We did a Botanica run last night, and it was my first chance to actually do a full DPS run in this spec. Since Blizzard is going to be nerfing our damage (again) in the next patch, I was curious to see what kind of numbers I could put up. Ouch. I can see why people where snivelling at the developers to reduce our output a bit - though to be fair, a good part of this is due to my manic pursuit of +gear and damage enchants.

atara's defence, she was devoting a lot of her time to crowd control, so her damage numbers are low.

Do you want to hear the really scary thing? I held back my damage output in spots because I was pulling too much aggro. For instance I didn't burn any of my +damage cool-downs during the run, and at points I stood back and just did white damage using my wand. Even so, I managed to beat out our fairly well-geared rogue on the run.
