Unnamed foster cat

Here is our (yet to be named) foster cat. She was mostly rescued from frigid, sub-zero temperatures. I say mostly because her ears did not entirely survive the ordeal. Her right ear is almost entirely gone, and her left ear is hanging by a bear thread. I think that the hanging portion is mostly dead skin now. If the ear does not fall off on its own, they will probably trim it away when we take her in to be spayed later.

On the plus side, what is left of the ears is starting to heal up nicely, and she does not seem to be terribly bothered by the loss. She is a very sweet little cat - friendly, personable and playful. I just hope people can see that past the damaged ears when she goes up for adoption.

If you check out the additional pictures (plus a bonus movie) in [livejournal.com profile] atara's journal, as an added bonus you can leave a comment suggesting a name for our latest temporary tennant.

Aww.. her poor ears. I always think of the stray animals when it's freezing cold outside. It's so sad. She looks happy and healthy otherwise though!

Maybe she just needs a name that is plain and simple but has great meaning what about Hope?
