plonq: (WoW Mood)
[personal profile] plonq
My original intent was to level my priest up to 70 before I started a new character, but in the end the first thing I did in the xpac was create a Blood Elf hunter.

I tamed my first pet last night. I call him _______ -- well, therein lies the problem. I have never been good with names, and I am drawing blanks. I'm tempted to name him after the dyspeptic dragon in Peregrine Secundus, but for the life of me I can't remember its name (Smasgaradas or something like that).

Aimless

If anybody out in LJ land has some good dragon names, I will gladly take suggestions.

He looks like a "Faffle."

This would've been my first option.

Or George. Because then you could love him.

I've only had him for awhile, but so far he's proving to be a very versatile little pet. He's got a surprisingly effective flame-breath attack that [livejournal.com profile] atara expects to see nerfed in a future patch.

... but I thought everyone loved Raymond.

That's the name I was looking for!

Sadly it might be too long, though. I can't remember how many letters I'm allowed for a pet name -- 10 perhaps?

Oooh, that cursed Raymond and his syndication!

They are so complex and naughty I could just pinch them!

Actually Smrgol is a good name too (and you seem to be offering tacit approval to use it). I think I'll fall back on it if the other name is too long.

I would be highly amused and flattered if I saw any pet snow leopards in the game named "Plonq".

Anyway, I tamed one of these guys because they look cool, and because it looked like almost nobody else was bothering to do so. He seems to be a very versatile pet at the moment, with a decent balance between attack, speed and defense. Even better, he's omnivorous, so he's willing to eat pretty much anything I catch, find or kill.

Oh wow!!! The background is so beautiful and colorful! I think I may have to make a Bloodelf after all, even if they look like they are made from sticks. :)

The Blood Elf start area is very pretty, as is the music for the zone. Just be prepared to trip over belfs while you're in the area.

The average Blood Elf is blond and paladin...

I rolled up a priest, so Plonq is playing a character that I'm familiar with (hunter), and I'm playing a class that Plonq's familiar with (his uber priestness.)

Silvermoon City is freakin' HUGE. There a funny thing with some NPCs right now: there's a Belf guide taking some Horde emmisaries on a tour of the city. I followed them around for a while yesterday listening to their scripted conversations. At one point, the troll said, "Dis place is huge. What do ya do dat ya need so much space?" Heh.
