You think you're having a bad day?

Strawberry finally got her second ear operation.  She's a pretty miserable little cat at the moment, snuffling and wheezing her disapproval at her sorry lot, but she's very happy to be "home".  This poor little cat has had a pretty rough go of it in life; I hope she eventually gets adopted out to good people.


This picture was taken a few minutes after she got home, and she's still pretty dopey from the anaesthetic.  Her unfocused expression seems to say, "What just happened?"


If I had to sum up this girl in one word I'd call her spirited.  Even with her brain half-baked on meds, and wearing a big awkward cone which caused her to walk into every stationary object in the room - including the floor - at least once, she still tried to get back into her regular routine.  Here she gamely tries to play with her second-favourite toy.  Her favourite toy is the laser pointer, but we didn't want to push her that hard when she was still getting around with such difficulty.
