We ran Molten Core again last night - though it was a late start and even later finish because of the usual patch day fiasco.  (Patch Day - oy.  There's a story that almost warrants a separate journal entry).  It was not a good night for cloth-wearers in general, and for priests in particular.  It was also a very expensive run for me - though that's not the reason for this post.

I can remember back when I first got this game, and I was impressed by the simplicity of the interface.  Over time I have added things to the interface - most of them to help me out with my healing duties during a raid.  While they have all proved to be useful (even invaluable in some cases), they have slowly been encroaching on my viewing space.  If you cop a quick look at the (large) picture behind the cut you will see what I'm talking about.  More than one person in a raid has accused us priests of operating with tunnel vision.  Well, there's a reason for that...
Totally unobtrusive interface.Oh look, almost 1/3 of my screen appears to be unobstructed.  Quick, somebody design another big, blocky UI tool that I can't live without!

... and I thought my screen was bad. What mods are you running? BTW, you've got mail. :)

The obvious mods in that picture are CT_RaidAssist, KLHThreatMeter and ClickHeal. Most of the windows and icons in there are part of the RaidAssist mod. I couldn't imagine trying to do a large raid without it (I could live without the rest if I didn't have them).
