My alt rogue is now high enough level for Stranglethorn Vale. I decided to celebrate that fact with a new user icon (not that I need an excuse for new user icons other than "I still have unused slots".)
There do seem to be a few trolls in and around STV, don't there?
I had wondered what appeal the game would hold once I got a character leveled up to 60. My thinking had been that I'd probably just toss that character into semi-retirement and start a new one. Nope - wrong. It's almost like the game up to that point had just been practice for when you hit 60 and the real game starts.
Varies from person to person. My guild fell apart days before I hit 60 and I've nothing to do at 60. I can level solo, but can't raid, and PUGs aren't exactly the best evar come end game instances. And frankly, I can't be bothered finding another good guild. The chances of finding a guild that raids, is sociable and wouldn't treat me like just a number because I'm a new member who hasn't earned his DKP yet are too slim to be worth the effort.
Our guild can't be bothered with a DKP system - we're strictly dedicated to having fun. If you're along on a raid and you need that set piece, go ahead and roll need.
THAT'S 50 DKP MINUS!! (Do a search on that phrase, or a variant thereof, for a hilarious soundclip from an Onyxia raid.)
I can see how a DKP system might help in a hardcore MC farming guild, but we're much too casual for that. We're just getting up to the guild numbers were we're going to try a ZG run again tonight. We'll probably wipe a few times. Again. What's life without a few armour repair bills though, eh?
