I climbed the stairs again today and a slightly faster clip than normal.  Tomorrow I am going to take it a bit slower (pantpant).  At one point during the ascent I stopped to measure the height of the risers by touching my fingertip to the base of one step and using my other thumbnail to make a small mark on my wrist.  When I got back to my office I compared it against a ruler and found that the risers are 7 1/2 inches.

By that measure, I am doing a 1402 inch vertical ascent when I climb the stairs.  Not bad.  Once I get my climbing legs I may see if I can increase that two two ascents per day.
