I put that subject line up there first thing this morning to preface a post, but I got distracted before I could write the entry and now (post coffee) I have no idea what it was about.

Today has been interesting so far.

- The son of a friend got interviewed on the radio today (we already saw his TV spot) about his web site: Walking The Path. With all the RF flying around in here I haven't a hope of tuning in an actual radio, but they did a web simulcast and I caught it there. He came off sounding very professional and prepared (barely an "um" uttered in the whole interview).

- I stopped by the local police station to pay my parking ticket from last week (only $15 if I pay it right away). There was a very unhappy customer in there while I was paying my fine. I'd seen him, accompanied by an officer, leading his dog past the bank while I was getting money for the ticket. When I got in there they were on the phone with animal control. I'm guessing he was from out of town or he'd have known that pit bulls are banned within city limits.

- One of my co-workers gave me a pre-invitation (not an invitation, just a card indicating that there would be an upcoming invitation) to a summer pig roast. I told him that both our sets of parents would be in town when this thing went down and he said that they are invited too. They're expecting 80-100ish people at this thing, so a few more bodies won't hurt. I'd never heard of these big socials until I moved out here but I've never been to one. T'would be a good way to introduce the folks to some prairie culture.
