When they rolled out the new phone system in our office they didn't have enough of the new sets to go around (they were lost in transit somewhere this side of Denver), so most of us in "support" were given clunky old Lucent units to use until the new ones arrived.

The new phones arrived on Thursday, and the vendor came through on Friday installing them on the remaining desks.  They were adamant that this would be their last time out, so if we had any issues, we were to raise them on Friday.

Sadly, you can probably guess where I'm going here...

When I went home on Friday (I work an early shift) they still hadn't hit our little office.  When I came in this morning, there was no phone for [livejournal.com profile] plonq!  It's not that I'm all hot and bothered to get a new phone on my desk - let's face it, office phones aren't that exciting - but the old phones don't support a lot of the features, including some that I had on my previous phone before they gave me this temp.  I am not amused, nor gruntled by this development.  Neither am I surprised.
