A day in the life

Since they would be putting various drops in her eyes that would make driving a challenge, and neither of us are very keen on taking the bus during a big upswing in new pandemic cases, I drove her to and from her appointment.
That is, I drove her to the parking garage where we lease a spot and she walked the final couple of blocks to and from her appointment.
When we were still driving in together for work (first, when my office was located in town, and later when I drove in with her and caught a bus from town), this garage was typically full by mid-morning. I was a bit concerned with finding a spot today because they have almost half of it closed for maintenance, but the half that remained open was not even at half capacity.

The top covered floor had two cars on it, and when I walked up to the roof there was a single car. This picture really sums up our current times. While downtown isn't completely empty, it's sure not crowded either.
