Our new PM vows to quit if an enquiry shows that he had any prior knowledge of the current sponsorship scam.  To be honest, I don't know which would be worse, finding that he was culpable in helping to bilk the taxpayers, or finding that he was blissfully ignorant while this all went on under his nose.  He's been spending a lot of his free time pleading ignorance about, well, just about everything that's been going on for the past ten years so I'm thinking it's quite likely the latter.

So the man is either a crook or an idiot.  Cretien was both, so I guess we're just keeping up the tradition.  All that is left to see is if Martin's Teflon ® coating is as thick as that of his predecessor.
