Ice fog and hoarfrost and freezing drizzle - oh my!

Today's weather made for a rather spectacular hoarfrost. I wasn't sure how these pictures would turn out (white on white), but I like the results.

I did a bit of minor digital tweaking to all of them, and some fairly significant tinkering with the last one (though I'm sure it shows...)

I'm just please that I got any pictures at all! When I got down there with the camera and snapped my first picture, the battery indicator turned red and started blinking. I had known beforehand that the battery wasn't fully charged, but I hadn't realized that it was nearly dead.

On the other hand I managed to snap a couple of dozen pictures and still had life left in it, so maybe a red, blinking battery indicator isn't as dire as it seems.
