Have you ever noticed how sometimes things taste a lot better than they sound?

I stopped at the coffee shop in the Johnston Terminal when [personal profile] atara and I were hanging out at The Forks this weekend past.  Initially I was going to get a coffee, or perhaps a cappuccino, but their speciality-drink menu caught my eye.

The menu board had a plethora of drinks with fanciful names like "London Fog", "Manhattan Mist" or  "Cleveland Steamer" (ok, maybe I made up that last one).  After some consideration I decided to try the London Fog, but being too timid to make an uninformed choice I asked the barista what it contained.  She informed me that it was vanilla syrup, steamed milk and Earl Grey tea.  At first I was appalled, but then a little nagging voice in the back of my head said, that's just crazy enough to work.

Did it work?  Wow, it was good!  =9  I'd say it's worthy of a future repeat.
