I snuck away from work early to swing by Purolator and pick up the replacement cable for atara's handheld.  We were both a bit concerned that it wouldn't work, given that some of the pins on the handheld itself appear to be bent, or possibly pushed in.  She plugged it in and everything seems to be happy and working.  Yay!  Next step is to order a proper cradle for synching.

On another note, just when you think that surreal has plumbed the darkest depths, along comes a site on pork martinis.
